Flight Mode Annunciator Columns (Interactive)

Description

These annunciators are related to the approach flight phase. They show the category of approach that the aircraft is capable of as well as the DH or MDA (if selected).

These annunciators are showing the aircraft's capabilities and are independent from the actual airport and runway capabilities.


CAT 1

Displayed in white showing the pilot that the aircraft is capable of CAT 1 approaches.

CAT 2

Displayed in white showing the pilot that the aircraft is capable of CAT 2 approaches.

CAT 3

Displayed in white showing the pilot that the aircraft is capable of CAT 3 approaches.

SINGLE

Displayed in white showing the pilot that the aircraft is capable of CAT 3 approaches, with FAIL PASSIVE passive condition (one autopilot active).

DUAL

Displayed in white showing the pilot that the aircraft is capable of CAT 3 approaches, with FAIL OPERATIONAL condition (both autopilots active).

BARO/RADIO XXXX

Displayed in white text with blue numbers.

MDA will display the minimum descent altitude that has been set in the MCDU APPR PERF page in the field BARO. This is the barometric altitude.

MDH will display the minimum descent height that has been set in the MCDU APPR PERF page in the field RADIO. This is the radio altitude.
